January 31st, 2016 - Kirkpatrick Notches Top Five Finish at BRP
1Thursday night brought the Big Frog Motorsports team to Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) for the NeSmith Chevrolet Winter Shootout with Austin Kirkpatrick returning behind the wheel of the #58 Super Late Model. After the rain settled in and cancelled Thursday's events, Kirkpatrick was one of fifty-three entries signed in on Friday for the Bubba Army Winternationals. Recording the 18th quickest qualifying time, Austin had one more shot at the feature with a B-Main performance. Battling for a transfer spot into the $2,500 A-Main, Austin Kirkpatrick came up short of transfer position bringing an early end to his night.

On Saturday afternoon, Austin logged the 12th fastest qualifying time transferring him into his heat with a pole position starting spot. Transferring the top four into the main event, Kirkpatrick cruised to a 12-lap heat race win sending him into the A-Main. Battling for a $3,000 payday, Austin Kirkpatrick landed a 5th place finish in the 50-lapper finishing behind Kyle Bronson, Max Blair, Mark Whitener, and Tyler Clem.

Competing in the final event of the weekend at Bubba Raceway Park on Saturday night, Austin earned an 8th row starting spot for the $10,000-to-win NeSmith Crate Late Model World Championship. Battling for 100-lapper Kirkpatrick fell four spots recording a 21st place finish.

January 10th, 2016 - Austin Kirkpatrick Debuts in BFM Super Late Model
1Beginning the 2016 season, Austin Kirkpatrick made the trip to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) on Thursday night for the 25th Annual Ice Bowl. Making his debut in the Big Frog Motorsports #58 Super Late Model, Kirkpatrick started things off on the right note with the 2nd fastest qualifying time in his group. Following a runner-up heat finish to William Thomas, Austin was slated to start on the 4th row for the feature. With $6,000 on the line, Austin Kirkpatrick managed to land a top ten finish after losing four spots early in the event.
