January 28th, 2017 - Big Frog Motorsports Begins 2017 Season at NeSmith Winter Nationals
1Big Frog Motorsports kicked off the season on Thursday night with Devin Dixon behind the wheel of the Dave’s Towing #58 Crate Late Model for the opening night of the Bubby Army Winter Nationals at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida). With 41 cars signed in for the NeSmith Winter Shootout sanctioned weekend, Dixon timed in 6th fastest in his qualifying group putting him 18th on the starting rundown for the opening night A-Main. Dropping back five positions, Devin Dixon registered a 23rd place outing.

1On Friday night in a field of 44 Crate Late Models, Devin earned the pole position for the $2,000-to-win feature after laying down the fastest time overall in qualifying. Hanging on to a Top 5 finish after scrapping the wall while trying to get around lap-traffic, Dixon notched a 4th place finish trailing Jamie Perry, Victor Lee, and Brandon Sheppard across the finish line with Kyle Bronson coming in 5th. 1On Saturday Bubba Raceway Park saw a decent amount of rain and an unfavorable evening forecast forcing them to postpone the Chevrolet Performance World Championship to Sunday afternoon. After leading in his heat race, Dixon suffered mechanical issues giving him one last shot at the $10,000-to-win finale with a B-Main appearance. Sending the Top 2 into the 100-lap A-Main, Devin came up short of a transfer spot bringing an end to his weekend.
