July 27th, 2013 - Pair of Top Fives for Whitener at Cochran
1Cochran Motor Speedway (Cochran, Georgia) was the destination for the team over the weekend as they entered a pair of events at the clay oval.

The headline event for the weekend was the $5,000-to-win, Hedman Hedders National Late Model Series event, and via preliminary action on Friday evening Mark locked into the 3rd starting spot for the finale on Saturday night. He would battle at the front of the pack throughout the program before registering a 2nd place finish to race winner, Jason Fitzgerald.

Whitener also competed in a $1,200-to-win, Crate Late Model event on Friday night, where he started 3rd. He would race to as high as the 2nd position before getting door slammed by another competitor, which altered the tow, and caused Whitener to slip to a 5th place finish.

Full results from the events are available at www.CochranSpeedway.com.

July 20th, 2013 - Bad Luck for Whitener at Volusia Speedway Park
Mark Whitener and Big Frog Motorsports initially set out to enter a $3,000-to-win, National Late Model Series race at Waycross Motor Speedway (Waycross, Georgia) on Saturday night, but rain nixed the program, so the team headed to Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) instead for a Weekly Racing Series Event.

With twelve entries on hand rain delayed the start of the program until after midnight, so only a feature was contested. Mark started 6th on the grid on a very wet track and was up to the 3rd position with 2 laps to go, when Tyler Clem and Kyle Bronson tangled in front of him. With nowhere to go Whitener made hard contact with Clem bringing his night to a disappointing, early end in the 9th position.

July 12th, 2013 - Whitener Finishes Third at 441 Speedway
The weekend opened for Mark Whitener and Big Frog Motorsports on Friday night at 441 Speedway (Rentz, Georgia) in a $2,000-to-win, unsanctioned Late Model event in their #58 Dave's Towing/B&B Produce/Barry Wright entry. During the first half of the night the team battled carburetor issues before recovering in the main event to advance from the 10th starting spot to finish 3rd. On Saturday night the team initially traveled to Cochran Motor 1Speedway (Cochran, Georgia) for a $4,000-to-win, National Late Model Series event, but rain forced the event to be canceled. As a result the team headed to North Florida Speedway (Baker, Florida), where Mark started 9th in the feature before advancing to a 2nd place finish.
