Big Frog Motorsports visits Golden Isles for Super Bowl of Racing

Mark Whitener and the Big Frog Motorsports team returned to action on Thursday evening at Golden Isles Speedway (Brunswick, Ga.) as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) kicked off the 2022 slate with the Super Bowl of Racing. In a field of 47 cars, Mark edged his way into the opening night feature with the third-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. The following night, Whitener came in 10th-fastest in his group before placing third in his heat. Rolling off 14th for the feature, Mark faded nine spots to finish 23rd.

For the finale on Saturday, Mark’s third-place finish in his heat race positioned him 17th on the starting grid for the $15,000-to-win finale. Rebounding late in the race after getting a lap down early, Whitener salvaged a 21st-place outing.
