Tyler Clem follows rain-plagued Southern Nationals tour
After a pair of attempts at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) were rained out by Mother Nature, Big Frog Motorsports and Tyler Clem returned with the Schaeffer’s Southern Nationals on Thursday at Senoia Raceway (Senoia, Ga.) for the third stop of the tour.
Racing his way into the opener via a fourth-to-second run in his B-Main, Clem clawed forward one spot in the 44-lapper to finish 15th.
On Friday at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.), Tyler secured his spot into the A-Main with his qualifying effort before Mother Nature postponed the feature to August 19th.
For Saturday’s 24th annual Rebel Yell at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Ga.), Clem followed up a seventh-place finish in his heat with a third-place showing in his consolation race. Chasing a $10,053 payday in the feature, Tyler jumped up four spots in the 53-lap affair to finish 14th.
Sunday’s weekend finale at Swainsboro Raceway (Swainsboro, Ga.) was washed out by weather.
Tyler sits 10th in the latest Schaeffer's Southern Nationals point standings.
